How the Coverage Formula Works
Coating consumption scales with two things: painted surface area and number of layers. The calculator multiplies a typical painted-surface estimate for your vehicle class by a usage rate drawn from common manufacturer bottle guidance.

Why These Are Estimates
Actual consumption varies with panel condition, applicator technique, ambient temperature, and how heavily the product is leveled. Manufacturers rate their own bottles conservatively — a 30 ml pro bottle rated for “1–2 cars” assumes a mid-size sedan at one to two layers. Use this calculator for purchase planning, then defer to the coverage guidance printed on your specific product.

The estimate covers painted body panels. If you plan to coat wheels, plastic trim, or glass with the same product, budget an extra 5–10 ml per layer — or use the leftover volume shown in the result panel, which is usually enough for exactly those surfaces.
